The Higher Education Funding Council for Wales administers funds to support education, research and associated activities at Wales's higher education institutions and provides funds for prescribed higher education courses at further education colleges. The Council is also responsible for the funding of initial teaching training (ITT) and the accreditation of providers of ITT in Wales.
