Activities and ideas shared will aim to enhance literacy and numeracy skills, develop transferable foreign language skills, and provide a fun yet challenging aspect to foreign language learning which will both enrich the primary curriculum and assist transition into KS3.

Themes will include cross-curricular links, International linking, ESDGC and using simple resources such as songs, storytelling and games.

Aims/Outcomes:

To experience a range of innovative and practical ideas to enrich the primary curriculum (which can subsequently be developed in KS3);
To share good practice in primary foreign languages / transition (making explicit the skills involved in language learning of any kind);
To familiarise teachers with the KS2 non-statutory framework for MFL (which contains similar skills/range as for Welsh and English).
To make teachers aware of the support available (resources, support & training, networks)
