29 May 2014 National Curriculum Review 2014

Here is a link to the document which calls for evidence for the review of the National Curriculum in Wales.  Professor Graham Donaldson is leading the review. He was involved in the recent and significant changes to the curriculum in Scotland which aims to ensure that young people in Scotland develop skills in their mother tongue + 2 other languages at least!

As teachers, parents (and children!) and businesses, we therefore need to ensure that we voice our opinions to ensure that the future generation of children, young people and employees in Wales have valuable opportunities to develop foreign language skills as well as skills in English and Welsh.  As ambassadors for languages, we would be grateful if you would take this opportunity to respond and voice your views.  The more evidence of need for these skills we can give Welsh Governmentthe better!  Deadline June 30, 2014.
