Language teachers in primary schools across Wales will soon be benefitting from enhanced opportunities to boost their linguistic knowledge and confidence, and to improve their foreign language-teaching skills, thanks to the partnership between the British Council and the National Centre for Languages in Wales (CILT Cymru).

Focusing on Community Languages in Wales

As part of its new MFL strategy ‘Making Languages Count', the Welsh Assembly Government has asked CILT Cymru to conduct a survey amongst secondary schools and colleges to establish existing provision and perceived needs in the delivery and provision of community languages.
