"GETTING STARTED "
Guidance to Support the Introduction of a Modern Foreign Language in
Key Stage 2. |
.amended.jpg) |
This pack has been produced by CILT Cymru specifically for schools and LEAs in Wales, and covers the key issues involved when considering introducing or developing a modern foreign language in Key Stage 2. |
 |
The good practice contained in the guidance is based on the experiences over the last 5 years of primary and secondary schools currently participating in the National Pilot with CILT Cymru and the Welsh Assembly Government (2003-09). |
| It is envisaged that clusters of schools will use the guidance as basis for their discussions. Working as a cluster has proved a most successful model and has reaped the most benefits during the course of the Pilot. |
| The guidance appears in 6 sections: |
|
|
|
An

It gives practical ways in which the study of a language and

teachers can build on the early start in KS3.

situations.
