On April 10th, 2008, Jane Hutt, the Welsh Assembly Government’s
Minister for Children, Education, Lifelong Learning and Skills will
attend a celebration of achievement within the Tregaron cluster
of schools – the Secondary school and its associated Primaries
- who have been taking part in a national Pilot Project to introduce
foreign languages into primary schools.
This celebration, which will be held at Ysgol Uwchradd Tregaron
between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, coincides with the start of an independent
evaluation of Phase 2 of the Pilot as well as the recent launch
of the Non-Statutory Framework for Modern Foreign Languages at Key
Stage 2, which is a part of the newly revised National Curriculum.
