European Day of Languages

The European Day of Languages is an initiative established by the European Council, with millions of people across the EU celebrating culture and languages. It is celebrated each year on 26 September each year, and it’s a day to celebrate variety, promote understanding, give teaching a boost and have fun with languages. Everyone can take part in the European Day of Languages: give yourself a language challenge or arrange an event, small or big. People will be celebrating at work, in school, college or university, at home and in their local communities across the UK – what will you be doing? Come to one of our ‘Opening Doors’ events.
