Professor Eric Sunderland, who has chaired the CILT
Cymru Advisory Board with distinction since its first meeting in
2002, has recently announced his intention to step down. We would
like to thank Eric for his steadfast support and willingness to
travel around Wales and beyond (he was also a member of CILT Governors)
in support of CILT Cymru’s work.
We are therefore looking for a new Chair, who should be a person
with an interest in MFL and a broad experience of the education
system in Wales. The post is unpaid, though travel and subsistence
costs will be reimbursed. Ideally the successful applicant will
also represent CILT Cymru at meetings of CILT Governors. There are
3 meetings of the Advisory Board per annum, and 3 meetings of CILT
Governors.
