The Basic Skills Agency

DfES The Standards Site: Glossary of terms

This glossary lists and explains some of the terms used in the MFL Framework and some terms used in the teaching of English and literacy in primary and secondary schools. It is based on the National Literacy Strategy for England Framework for teaching.
